What are the technologies used in DHTML?

Introduction to DHTML

DHTML stands for a dynamic hypertext markup language. DHTML and HTML do not compete with each other, but DHTML is clearly an extension of HTML and uses different web technologies. HTML is used to create static web pages, while DHTML is used to create more interactive and dynamic web pages. It can be used to create intuitive and dynamic user interfaces with animations. The point is not to use a particular technology or standard, but to use a combination of different technologies to achieve the result. These different technologies used in DHTML are called components.

Why do we need DHTML?

DHTML was first introduced by Microsoft in 1997 in Internet Explorer version 4, without which only static web pages would exist. Using static web pages has some disadvantages and inconveniences. Static pages do not provide interactivity for the user. It is not possible to display dynamic behavior without reloading the page. However, DHTML allows this.

DHTML allows the client to make dynamic changes to elements of the page without reloading the page. DHTML is very broad and can be used to load web pages for different users, to load different views, or to load different values set by the user. DHTML is a very broad concept and can be used to load web pages for different users, different views, or different values set by the user.

DHTML element

As mentioned at the beginning, DHTML uses a number of web technologies called DHTML elements; DHTML combines these elements to make web pages interactive or animated.

HTML

HTML is a client-side markup language used to create static web pages. HTML is the basic building block of DHTML: it defines the elements that appear on a web page. HTML uses different elements and tags to define the structure of elements. However, HTML can only create static web pages and does not allow users to dynamically change the values of elements on the client-side. HTML is, however, an essential element in the creation of web pages.

JavaScript

JavaScript is a client-side scripting language used to create dynamic and static web pages. JavaScript allows users to change the values of variables, modify functions, and perform many other operations as needed. JavaScript saves time for the user by making client-side decisions before they are sent to the server. JavaScript allows you to program the behavior of web pages. JavaScript allows you to implement complex functions and features on web pages. It can be used to dynamically update content, create animations, and do many other activities.

CSS

Just as HTML is used to create web pages, CSS is used to develop and apply styles. CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheet and is a web design language. CSS is used to develop the layout and other styles that define the appearance of elements on a web page. The same CSS file can be used on multiple websites, saving time and effort. CSS supports JavaScript and the DOM. Using this combination, we can dynamically change the style and layout of a web page.

DOM

DOM is an abbreviation for Document Object Model. It defines the logical structure of the elements of a web page and provides a template for accessing and manipulating them. The DOM represents the basic objects and elements of a web page and the relationships between them. The DOM, JavaScript, and CSS allow the style, structure, and content of web pages to be changed dynamically. The DOM provides direct and precise access to elements.
